  • If accepted as an exchange student, a Miami student can take any 2 classes spoken in English at the University of Seoul during the summer. A variety of courses, including two courses (E-commerce and economies of East Asia) that will be taught by Miami faculty members, will be available. Seoul is the capital and the political, social, and economic center of Korea. Seoul is one of the largest and most dynamic cities in the world with over 10 Million population.

  • Credit hours of classes taken at U. of Seoul are transferable to Miami as graduation credit hours. Depending on a course taken, you can apply for course equivalency. See the Ms. Kim (9-1712) at Room 103 Laws for forms and referrals.

  • University of Seoul will provide about US $500 airfare support and US $350 for an optional 4-day Beijing or Tokyo tour during the third week of the program. In addition, lodging will be provided free at their modern International dorm built recently.

  • An exchange student needs to pay tuition (6 summer credit hours) to Miami and the application fee (US $180) to University of Seoul. Existing Miami scholarship or tuition waive at Miami can be continued to be used for the summer. Non-exchange option: a student may apply for the program as a non-exchange student. Non-exchange students will pay tuition (about $800) and application fee (about $180) directly to University of Seoul. University of Seoul will provide US $500 airfare support to non-exchange student, but will not support Beijing or Tokyo excursion.

  • Summer program students will be invited to this program from all over the world. Students can meet and study with international students coming from US, Asia, and Europe.

  • An accepted student can apply for Higgin Kim Asia Scholarship.

  • University of Seoul International Program also offers free cultural field trips to make your Korea visit more fun and memorable.

  • Students may stop over in Hawaii for a few days after the program.
