Miami's Entrepreneurship program still ranked among nation's best
Student engagement in real-world activities, innovation in social entrepreneurship, and a high level of entrepreneurship among the faculty provide Miami’s Entrepreneurship program a continued presence in the ranking of undergraduate entrepreneurship programs. Holzbergers make gift in support of entrepreneurship programs
A new gift of $250,000 from two alumni entrepreneurs, Frederic (’77) and Julie (’85) Holzberger, will create endowments to support program initiatives in the Thomas C. Miami Faculty Launches New Venture with a Social Mission
Miami faculty member and adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship, Scott Miller, has launched a new business venture, B2Bee,LLC. Miller has embarked upon a dual mission. Brett Smith, director of Miami’s Center for Social Entrepreneurship, traveled to England to receive the award. Attendees at the conference were world-class social entrepreneurs from around the world including several Nobel Peace Prize laureates. The keynote was delivered by former President Jimmy Carter. Entrepreneurship Program Launches Femtor, Female Mentoring Program
The class is based upon the idea that female entrepreneurial students would benefit from a structured mentorship with a female business woman in/close to the student's field of study or career goals. The students benefit by shadowing the mentor and seeing firsthand what is involved with owning a successful business. Femtor1-8-09

Founded in 1994, the Page Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is one of only two undergraduate entrepreneurship programs in the country that is both ranked in the top 20 by Entrepreneur magazine and is part of a BusinessWeek top 20 public undergraduate business schools. In 2008, the center has been recognized as the 16th ranked undergraduate program of the 2,300 programs in the nation.
The Page Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is focused on jump-starting the pursuit of students’ entrepreneurial aspirations. Other than a diverse course load and innovative classroom experiences, students study and learn alongside business-practicing faculty as well as interact with successful business owners through projects, mentor programs and internship opportunities. Such experiences help students develop their entrepreneurial outlook.
