Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in geography from Miami University.

She is a General Partner at Daylight Partners, a venture capital firm that seeks entrepreneurs who value operational experience and functional expertise in addition to capital commitment to their ventures.

Before retiring from Dell, Inc. in 2007, Susan served as its Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and was responsible for Dell's global information systems and technology infrastructure. Previously she served as Dell’s Vice President of Information Technology for the Americas Region, where she led innovation in Dell’s global sales, services, manufacturing and fulfilment systems. Her efforts helped establish Dell as a leader in e-commerce and supply chain management.
A noted authority on supply-chain and e-commerce technology, Susan joined Dell in 1993 and worked in various IT management and leadership functions in sales, manufacturing, fulfillment, services, procurement, data warehouse, finance, and human resources. She is recognized as an industry thought leader in using innovative solutions to transform businesses, helping them achieve ongoing operational gains while minimizing IT costs.

Before joining Dell in 1991, Susan held key planning, development and operational roles at Ameritech Corporate, Ameritech Services and Ohio Bell.

She serves on the board at Texas A&M University, Stored IQ and Digby. She was recognized by eWeek in 2007 as one of the 10 Most Powerful Women in Technology, and by Diversity Journal as a Woman Worth Watching for 2006.
