The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program within the Farmer School of Business prepares students for professional careers in accounting and related fields. The Miami MAcc has more to offer than most other programs. It’s not just accounting—we prepare students for careers beyond tax and assurance. Our 10-month lock-step program provides you the opportunity to bond with a small, close-knit community of scholars and develop a network that will stay with you throughout your career. Our faculty work together to integrate topics across the curriculum, accountancy and non-accountancy courses alike.
One of the most unique aspects of our program is the interaction our students have with seasoned professionals in the areas of corporate governance, enterprise risk management, and transparent business reporting. Taught by the co-directors of the Center for Business Excellence, our two-course capstone sequence is unlike any other program in the country. MAcc students actively participate in the annual Executive Conference on Governance, Risk Management, and Reporting (GRMR) in the spring, a highlight of many students' academic experience.
We are very proud of our master’s degree program, which was recently ranked 15th in the nation by the Public Accounting Report. We’re also proud of the accomplishments of our graduates who attract excellent job offers in industry, government, consulting, and public accounting.
