The Decision Sciences (DSC) major at Miami University prepares graduates to meet the challenges presented by the growing complexity of business by using computer implemented, quantitative methods. In addition to developing analytical and communication skills, students who major in Decision Sciences will obtain in-depth preparation in applied statistics, management science, and continual process improvement. Emphasis is placed on structuring and solving practical problems encountered in business.
Miami Plan and School of Business Requirements: The BS in DSC is based on the Miami Plan foundation courses that consist of 36 hours in areas outside of the School of Business. In addition, the School of Business core includes 45 hours of courses from all the business disciplines.
Both of these:
Twelve hours from the courses in groups (a), (b), and (c) below. Three to six hours must be chosen from group (a), and at least three hours must be taken from group (c).
