Program Description
The minor is designed for students who are interested in exploring how their major area of specialization connects to the workplace and the economy. Students who are preparing for law school or a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) will find this minor valuable.
Program Requirements
1) 18 semester hours in Economics
2) Take the following courses:
| ECO 201 Principles of Microeconomics (3) ECO 202 Principles of Macroeconomics (3) and either ECO 315 Intermediate Microeconomic Theory (3) or ECO 317 Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory (3) |
3) Take nine (9) additional hours of advanced Economics (300 or 400 level and above). Either ECO 315 or 317 (the course not used to satisfy the requirement in (2) above) may be taken to meet this requirement.
Additional Information
1) Eco 315 or 317 must be taken at Miami University. A minimum 2.00 grade point average is required.
2) Thematic Sequences: Proper choice of electives will allow you to complete a thematic sequence and receive a minor in Economics.
