Management Minor Requirements

(22 Semester Hours)

Please note: You must visit our office and declare your minor by obtaining the minor advisor's signature on the declaration form and submitting the signed form the to the registrar's office. Each track of the minor has enrollment limits. You may select only one track.

This minor provides students, with majors outside the School of Business Administration, opportunity to enhance their major areas of study by gaining knowledge of management theory and its application.

For all options, you are required to take: (1) an introductory statistics course to provide a prerequisite background in statistical concepts; and (2) a managerial accounting course to provide the necessary background to use financial information for making decisions. Beyond these two requirements, select one of the four tracks.


Human Resource Management Track

Supply Chain Management Track

The Supply Chain Management Minor is designed to provide students with a  broad understanding of the concept of Supply Chain Management (SCM) as a key business strategy.  A recent study cited SCM as one of the three most important management practices for determining world class performances. Students will learn the tools for integrating the key functions of procurement, operations, marketing, logistics, accounting and MIS, leading to the enhanced value throughout the entire supply chain.  The SCM minor exposes students to the many career opportunities available in the field of supply chain management.
