Senior Director, Professor of Economics

Dennis Sullivan livens up his classes with topical folksongs demonstrating the kind of zest for teaching that helped him earn teaching awards from Miami University Student Government and the School of Business.
Professor Sullivan began his career at Miami after doctoral work at Princeton University. At Miami he has taught at every level, from first-year through graduate students. He has also taught International Economics and International Business in Oxford, at Miami’s Luxembourg campus, and in several summer study-abroad programs.
Professor Sullivan’s publications cover a range of topics, including the Food Stamp program, the homeowner deduction of the income tax, the effect of taxes on business location, and international comparisons of the relative incomes of children and the elderly.
