Finance
Steve Wyatt comes to the Farmer School of Business from the University of Cincinnati, where he was a member of the Department of Finance from 1987 to 2006 and served as the department head from 1998 to 2006. He was also Director of International Business Programs from 1991 to 1996. Dr. Wyatt previously taught at the University of Houston and at the University of Texas – Dallas.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Alaska - Anchorage, Wyatt pursued a Ph.D. in international management studies at the University of Texas – Dallas. His fields of concentration were international finance, and investments. He has written and published extensively in both finance and economics journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, American Real Estate and Urban Economics Journal, Financial Management and Financial Review. In 2005, Journal of Finance editors nominated his work for the Smith-Breeden prize for the best article published in 2004. He also is active in professional and academic organizations and is Past President of the Midwest Finance Association.
