Your work requests for copying (single, collated, stapled, back-to-back, numbered, or three-hole punched when necessary) will be completed by Katherine Metcalf on the Minolta DI850 high-speed copier and occasionally on the Xerox DC480ST Digital copier. Lisa Broermann and Irene Pierce will be the back up during Katherine's absence.

Self-Serve Equipment & Policies

A Xerox DC480ST Digital Copier accessed by your individual five-digit code is available for your own use on a first-come-first-served basis. The copy limit on the Xerox is for no more than five minutes per visit. This copier is not for book copying or copying on transparencies. If your job exceeds the limitation or you simply wish to use the copying service available, please submit your work request to Katherine. Your department can receive a reduced charge for back-to-back copying if you complete one of the request forms available at the copier and leave it there.

A Minolta CF2002 Print/Color/Scan Copier is also available on a first-come-first-served basis between 7:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. You can scan to your e-mail as a PDF file only (editing will be available upon request). You do not need to use your five-digit access code for the scanner. All jobs that require special features need to be submitted to Katherine.

Please review Copyright: A Guide for Faculty posted in the Copy Center and in your department. It is your responsibility to obtain permission for reproducing copyright protected materials. The Copy Center requires written proof of copying permission.

Guidelines

The Copy Center staff asks that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Submit camera-ready originals (remove all black edges, and any necessarycutting and pasting should also be done before submitting).
  • Submit your copying request work orders (not exams or quizzes) in the folder for the day you need them (e.g., if you need your work on Tuesday, put it in Tuesday's folder).
  • Submit your exam and quiz copying requests with attached work order directly to Katherine (unless directed to do otherwise).
  • To be assured that copy requests are ready when needed you must allow at least two working days lead-time. Last minute requests—requests that do not have at least a 24-hour lead-time—cannot be accepted.
  • Requests with less than a 24-hour lead-time require the signature of the department chair.
  • Make maximum use of paper by cutting and pasting columns and requesting back-to-back copying when appropriate.
  • Personal copies are 10 cents per copy/side for B/W and 25 cents for color copies. You can obtain the personal code from Katherine.
  • PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW ANY SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS POSTED BY KATHERINE.

You can also send your requests for handouts, quizzes, and exams to Katherine as an e-mail attachment: fsbcc@muohio.edu. Only Katherine will review requests.

Exams and quizzes processed by the Copy Center are kept under lock for security reasons. To pick up these requests, you must see Katherine during regular office hours (7 a.m.–4 p.m.). Lisa Broermann (114 Laws) assists from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.–5 p.m.
