Miami Faculty Launches New Venture with a Social Mission
Miami faculty member and adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship, Scott Miller, has launched a new business venture, B2Bee, LLC . Miller has embarked upon a dual mission. One, to produce productivity software that will enhance the lives of business-to-business service professionals. Two, create a company with a “social conscious”, through the Bee’s funding of honey bee sustainability research.
“We are fortunate to be producing great software that significantly increases the quality of life of our customers, while at the same time, knowing that a portion of our efforts go toward solving a significant environmental problem”, said Scott Miller, Founder / CEO of B2Bee, LLC.
The honey bee population is dying. Through pollination, we rely on honey bees for one-third of our food supply. B2Bee has committed to help fund honey bee sustainability research at Penn State and the University of California-Davis. B2Bee will be donating a portion of all software subscription revenue to help save the honey bees.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, B2Bee, LLC delivers software as a service (SaaS) solutions to business-to-business service firms. B2Bee helps customers look more professional in the eyes of their clients. Typical B2Bee customers include consultants, creatives, web developers, copywriters, and freelancers. The B2Bee solution includes billing, time tracking, and expense control. Monthly subscriptions to the service begin at $14. A free plan is available to companies and freelancers with three or less clients. For more information about B2Bee, please visit http://www.getTHEbee.com
