Miami University in Oxford, Ohio is nationally recognized as one of the most outstanding undergraduate institutions. As an exchange student at Miami University you will be welcomed with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of an American University. The exchange program will also allow you to drastically improve your foreign language skills through complete language and cultural immersion. The following exchanges are coordinated directly with Miami's brand new Farmer School of Business.

Exchange students are accommodated in Thomas Hall (on-campus; double-occupancy rooms) with a domestic roommate. Housing application forms are enclosed in the acceptance packages.

$2,549 per semester
$95.00 security deposit (refundable)
Students who arrive before housing opens will be charged additional fees that are not covered by the exchange agreement.
Miami University offers its exchange students many different meal plans tailored to the individual's needs. There are five all-you-can eat dining halls along with dozens of cafes and restaurants on-campus.

The Academic Preparation and Cultural Program (APCP) is an optional course designed to help students transition to life at an American University and provide experience in everyday cultural and language practices of this country. The program will provide practical, advanced language experiences and an excursion around the area to introduce you to American culture, help you understand what to expect in classes in an American University, and sharpen your English conversational and writing skills in preparation for your immersion into Miami.
WHO? Designed for international and exchange students
WHAT? English 106: Experience in American Culture and Language (3 credits)
WHERE? The program takes place on the Miami University campus. Students will be housed in air-conditioned residence halls.
WHEN? Arrive either August 1st or 2nd, check in August 3rd and the courses begin August 4th
HOW MUCH? There is no additional tuition, but a $225 fee will be charged to cover activity and excursion costs. Housing and dining costs for the additional week will range from $250-$350
After the student has been nominated by the home university, he or she can submit the online application.

Program participants and their dependents are required to have medical insurance coverage with the following minimum benefits:
Sponsors are to require that their participants (and any dependents entering the United States as holders of a J-2 Visa) have insurance in effect during the period of time they are in the sponsor's program. An insurance policy secured to meet the benefit requirements must be underwritten by an insurance corporation with an A.M. best rating of "A-" or above, a Standard and Poor's Claim Paying Ability rating of "A-" or above, of a Weiss Research Inc. rating of B+ or above. Alternatively, the sponsor may ascertain that the participants's policy is backed by the full faith and credit of the government of the exchange visitor's home country.
Student's should be prepared to show proof of insurance to the U.S. Embassy when they apply for their J-1 Visa.
Miami University offers a $30 bus service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) for all incoming international/exchange students.
