International Internships

Every year, more and more students undertake their internships abroad.  An overseas internship will enhance your resume, while also helping you to develop a network of contacts that may translate into full-time employment opportunities.  If you plan to do business with the biggest companies in the world, you need to spend time in places other than New York and Chicago.  To feel comfortable in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and London, one must live, eat, and work in these cultures.

Below are providers who offer opportunities for an international experience that involves an internship.  In most cases they offer academic credit for a course(s), internship placement with a company that relates to your major, housing, in some cases a meal plan, on-site staff and support, and in some cases excursions. In most cases these are unpaid internships.

  • Dream Careers Inc. (DCI) – MU Farmer School of Business Hong Kong Summer Internship Program.      The Farmer School of Business has established an affiliation agreement with DCI to place students in eight-week internships in Hong Kong each summer.  Miami students will receive a $500.00 discount off the standard fee.
