If you choose the Miami MBA program, we guarantee that you will have developed a sound career strategy and will be well prepared to compete in the MBA job market before you graduate. This planning begins from the start: During your first month in the MBA Program you are exposed to the key concepts required to develop your personal career strategy. Experts in the field of MBA career planning and job placement participate in the Boot Camp session on Business Skills, ensuring you understand the current marketplace dynamics and teaching you strategies that you can follow to build your unique plan. Throughout the school year, this initial knowledge is supplemented both on an individual basis and through our professional development activities by our MBA staff, each of whom have a strong history in both MBA career services and corporate recruiting and hiring practices.
Each year nearly 200+ companies travel to Oxford for campus recruiting. The MBA program leverages this fact, capitalizing on the strong reputation that Miami University has already developed with regional and national employers. Through our cross-marketing efforts, the MBA program ensures that these core employers expand their view of Miami graduates to include the MBA students and the skills and capabilities our graduates bring to the table. In addition, we also actively recruit new employers to Miami—particularly those in growth industries—specifically targeting our MBA graduates.
One of the best Career Services centers in the country, Miami’s Office of Career Services offers MBA students a wide variety of resources to support your career strategy development and job search as well as excellent facilities for conducting interviews. In addition, the center also provides a wealth of resources that can be used to supplement the career training and coaching provided by the MBA staff.
