The Farmer School’s new building reached a major milestone in June when construction reached the halfway mark. To the casual observer, signs of progress include the spread of red brick over the exterior of the east wing and continuing installation of tile on the roof. The west wing—the last to take shape—is now completely framed in structural steel.
Less visible but equally important achievements: the east wing is now water tight and interior finish work is underway there, while framing crews and mechanical contractors are at work in the center wing.
University architect and project manager John Seibert reports that building construction is within budget and on time for a summer 2009 completion.
