Five faculty members granted promotion, tenure

The Farmer School congratulates five of its faculty members, who were successful in the promotions and tenure process this year. Their new status, approved by Miami’s Board of Trustees on February 6, will take effect July 1, 2009.

John (Skip) Benamati, of the Department of Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems, was promoted to full professor.

Tim Eaton, of the Department of Accountancy, was granted tenure. Eaton is an associate professor.

Three assistant professors were promoted to associate professor and granted tenure. They are Devon DelVecchio (Marketing); Megan Gerhardt (Management); and Joe Rode (Management).

“We extend our enthusiastic congratulations to these colleagues and friends, who have shown themselves to be high quality teachers and scholars,” said Farmer School Dean Roger L. Jenkins.
