Finance chair Steve Wyatt takes the stage at Alumni Weekend to give an overview of the U.S. financial uncertainties.

According to Steve Wyatt, one factor influencing Wall Street's current unease may not be the dominance of bears, but a preponderance of sheep, whose bleating can inspire panic.

Wyatt, chair of the Farmer School's finance department, presented an illustrated guide to the current U.S. financial situation during Miami's Alumni Weekend, June 19-21. “Outlook in Uncertain Times,” one of the weekend’s Classes without Quizzes, drew a healthy crowd on Friday, June 19.

Wyatt gave an assessment of where the country stands in repairing the financial system, and the outlook for the near-term as well as long-term. After his remarks, Wyatt fielded a number of questions, from requests for investing advice to queries about how the financial problems of other countries will affect the U.S. recovery.
