Return of the Investment Banking Case Competition

Test your finance acumen on a real-world investment banking case by participating in the second annual Investment Banking competition, which is presented by the FSB Department of Finance and sponsored by William Blair & Company.

The competition is more than just an opportunity to apply your knowledge. It's also an excellent occasion to network and develop your business and presentation skills!

This competition is intended for Miami undergraduate students who have a career interest in investment banking, private equity, commercial banking, corporate finance, venture capital, and consulting. Participants need not be finance majors.

Teams

• Each team must have a minimum of three members and a maximum of four members.
• Teams must register with the finance department prior to the competition.
• The competition is open to all Miami undergraduates, regardless of major.

Format

• In the preliminary round, each team will submit a written proposal. The teams with the best proposals will be invited to participate in the final round.
• The final round consists of oral presentations by the qualifying teams, made before a panel of judges.

Prizes

• A $500 cash prize will be awarded to the winning team.
• Members of high-ranking teams will be given priority consideration in registration for the Mergers and Acquisitions course offered Spring 2010 semester.

All teams must register in the finance department office (2053 FSB), providing contact information for each team member and naming a team captain.Deadline for signup is Oct. 14 by 5 p.m.
