Members of a Farmer School student organization will hit the streets on Halloween night to collect culinary basics for the local food pantry.
Students of the Buck Rodgers Business Leadership Program will host its first annual "Trick-or-Can" event Oct. 31 in the neighborhoods of Oxford. Students will drop off bags at homes the week of October 25th that homeowners can use to package donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food items.
The students will canvass the neighborhood in teams from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween to pick up the donated items, which will be given to Oxford Community Choice Food Pantry. The organization’s goal is to collect more than 1,000 food items to support the pantry, which provides emergency food to hungry children and adults throughout the community.
