Several years ago, our international programs faculty had an inspired idea: to create a program that would enable students to add a China emphasis to their chosen field of business study. Thus was born the China Business Program. We will honor our second graduating class this spring.
Participants report that the CBP greatly enriches their educational experience and gives them valuable insights about how business is done in another – very important -- culture. As these young people interview for jobs, they find that their study in China and their expanded world views strongly distinguish them from their peers.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Yen’s leadership in taking the China Business Program from concept to reality, and in encouraging students to make the very most of the program, from starting the China America Business Organization to seeking out challenging academic and internship opportunities in China.
I would also like to thank all of our wonderful alumni and friends who have helped us develop relationships with Chinese universities and businesses, and have made our students feel welcome in a country they have grown to appreciate and love. Your efforts have helped immeasurably in giving real international depth to a Farmer School education.
Warm personal regards,
RLJ
