Are you currently a high school student?

Miami University’s Farmer School of Business is annually recognized as one of the nation’s best undergraduate business schools. Each year, the number of first-year applications for the Farmer School of Business (FSB) exceeds the number of spaces available. Admission to FSB is competitive, and based on a holistic and comprehensive review process which considers many factors to establish the context of students’ achievements and demonstrated potential to be successful in its rigorous curriculum.  Please visit Miami University’s Undergraduate Admission office to learn more about admission to the University.   

For Fall 2012, the middle 50% of students gaining direct entry into the FSB had an academic profile as outlined below. Twenty five percent of students offered direct admission had an academic profile that exceeded these ranges and 25% had a profile that fell below. The academic qualifications required for admission is wholly dependent on the strength of the applicant pool.

                                     ACT Composite Score:         27-30

                                     SAT (CR + M):                    1190-1320

                                     GPA (on a 4.00 scale):        3.48-4.00

                                     Class Rank:                        6%-25%

  • By appointment, current high school students may visit the Farmer School of Business to meet with an advisor and tour the building. Please call Shannon Schweitzer at 513-529-1712 to schedule a visit. Visits are approximately 50 minutes and are typically scheduled weekdays at 9 am and 1 pm during the academic year or at 11 am during the summer.

 

Are you currently a first-year Miami University student (Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown campuses)?

Admission to the Farmer School of Business generally takes place upon entry as a first-year student. Seats are available each semester for academically talented students who were not previously offered direct admission or who decided upon entering Miami that business is their academic program of choice. Eligibility for entry is the following:

                                  -  30 graded credit hours at Miami University

                                  3.3 GPA in Miami Plan Foundation and/or business courses at Miami University

                                  -  Completion of MTH 151 and ECO 201 (or equivalent via AP, post-secondary work,

                                      or transfer courses)

Upon admission to the Farmer School, you will pay tuition and fees set by Miami University, as well as an additional per-credit hour business surcharge for most business courses. For detailed information, click here.

 

Are you currently attending another college or university?

Seats are available each semester for academically talented students wishing to transfer from other accredited colleges or universities. Eligibility for students entering Miami, effective 2013-14 academic year, is the following:

                                 -   30 graded credit hours at current institution

                                 -   3.3 GPA in all graded credit hours at current institution

                                 -   Completion of Miami MTH 151 and ECO 201 equivalents (via AP, post-secondary, or

                                     university courses)
