These leaders have developed a national reputation for expertise related to the subject matter of their presentation. Recent Lectures have been given by: General Colin Powell, for chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Gary Becker, Nobel Laureate in Economic Science and Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago; John Major, former British Prime Minister; Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York City; Mikhail Gorbachev, former president of the Soviet Union; and Sandra Day O'Connor, former Supreme Court justice.
