The China Business Program certificate further enhances the prestigious Farmer School of Business Miami diploma. CBP combines a semester abroad at a Chinese university, two professional China business seminars, an Asia-related thematic sequence, and comprehensive language or culture study. Students gain a competitive edge in the job market and within an American or international business that seeks to thrive in a reshaped global economy.
The China Business Program also offers a connection with Miami’s Chinese Living-Learning Community and the International Business Living-Learning Community, which provides field trips, celebration of Chinese holidays and customs, the opportunity to interact with China specialists, and career development mentoring.

Semester Exchanges between the Farmer School of Business and six highly ranked Chinese universities allow Miami students to study at Peking University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Beijing Jiaotong University, National Chung Cheng University, and Sun Yat-sen University. In exchange, Chinese students from these schools come to Miami to study for a semester in the Farmer Business School. more

Far East Summer International Program participants visit Asian universities, businesses and historical sites to gain educational and cultural experience. The Far East Program focuses on China and is led by Dr. David Yen, Raymond E. Glos Professor in Business. Study tours visit places such as the GE Technology and Training Center in Shanghai, Delphi in Suzhou, Procter & Gamble Research Lab in Beijing, and the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. While they travel, students take Asia-related Business classes including The Environment for Business in the Far East, and Global Information Systems with a Focus on the Far East. more
