Catalog Description: This course contains traditional lectures and features a series of speakers who focus on the historical, geographical, cultural, and religious environments and how these factors influence companies doing business in China. This course will provide students a basic understanding about the issues, challenges, and problems faced in China and also prepare students for the advanced course “BUS 231, China Business Seminar II."
Extended Description: This course is specifically designed for students accepted into the China Business Program. It provides first year students in the program with an initial overview of the China business environment and an understanding of how these environments impact performing business activities. It will also help prepare students for Summer intensive language study and other programs conducted in China and other Far East areas.
Catalog Description: This course focuses on the economic, political, business, and legal environments in China and how they influence companies doing business there . This course will also prepare students for their China-related internship and junior semester in China.
