Passports

Check out the resources below to apply for a passport:

  • The Office of Lifelong Learning, 157 McGuffey Hall, is now offering U.S. Passport Application Services. Passport photos can be taken at the Print Center, 100 Gaskill Hall. Routine passport processing takes between four and six weeks. For more information on this service to to www.muohio.edu/LLL/passport or call (513) 529-8608.
  • You can apply for a passport locally by calling the Oxford Post Office at (513) 523-2455. Ask for a passport representative and that individual will walk you through the process.

Visas

China

  • For information about visas, visit the Embassy of the People's Republic of China website.
  • Students will need to apply for either a X visa (for more than 6 months) of a F visa (for less than 6 months)
  • The embassy does not accept mail in applications. Students have to either visit the embassy or consulate with jurisdiction over their area of residence or use a visa service (recommended).

Korea

  • No visa needed for US citizens who plan to stay 90 days or less (This includes the University of Seoul Summer School).
  • Students can apply for a Korean student (D-2) visas either in person or by mail at the embassy or consulate with jurisdiction over their area of residence. For Ohio residents, this is the Korean Consulate General in Chicago.

Japan

 

Travel Registration

The US department of State recommends you register your trip through their web site in order to allow them to assist you in the unlikely case of an emergency. To register online visit the Travel Registration website of the US Department of State.

Airline Tickets

You are responsible for purchasing your own airline ticket. Book your ticket several months in advance to get the best prices.
