If accepted to Yonsei University, Wonju (known for its beautiful campus)

  1. Big financial advantages: free on-campus housing, 3,000,000 Korean Won (about US $2,500) financial aid, attendance at 2-day East Asian Students Conference, eligible for $1,000 Park Korea Scholarship.
  2. Many courses taught in English, some already pre-approved for transfer.
  3. Internship opportunities at companies and university research centers. A marketing project about 2018 Winter Olympic Game in Korea available for selected students.

If accepted to Korea University-Seoul:

  1. 1,200,000 Korean Won (about US $1,000) settlement scholarship by Korea University and eligible for $1,000 Park Korea Scholarship.

  • Nature: Many beaches along all three coast lines, numerous mountains, and four major rivers. 1,000 mile long bicycle paths just built along the four rivers. A day trip possible to everywhere in Korea through extensive subway, train, and bus lines.
  • Korean/International foods: In addition to numerous authentic Korean food restaurants/street vendors, there are many western franchise restaurants, Asian ethnic restaurants (over 2,000), cafés, bars, and convenience stores. Lights are never turned off in Korea especially in Seoul…unlike any other Asian cities.
  • Shopping paradise: Over ten major shopping districts in Seoul alone: MyungDong downtown, HongdaeAp Young Town, Insadong Antique/culture village, Itaewon foreigner district, South gate flea market, East gate night market (open 24/7), South Bus Terminal underground mall, COEX mall (largest underground mall in Asia.)
  • Public bathrooms: Free always and the cleanest in the world. Public bathrooms have western style toilets.
