Over Winter Break the Farmer School of Business will offer for the third year a two-week Asian study program. The schedule combines class meetings, company visits, guest lectures, and cultural tours. Seniors who have not studied abroad: here is a final opportunity!

Vietnam and Cambodia boasts one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia. Once ravaged by war and poverty, these countries are now progressing and thriving at an amazing rate. As part of this study group, you will travel from the casual charm of Hanoi and Seim Reap to the teeming metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong. In Vietnam, you will explore a local culture in the Mekong delta and cruise on a junk boat at the world famous Ha Long Bay (UNESCO world heritage; 3,000 islets in South China sea). In Cambodia, you will visit another world famous Angkor Wat Temples. These stunning structures feature some of the most beautiful examples of Khmer Kingdom and Hindu art. The temple and the whole city of Angkor are now declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Ton Le Sap lake (largest fresh water lake in Asia) in Cambodia will be visited to explore local water villages. Service learning opportunity will be given at an orphanage.

As a last stop, the program will stop in beautiful Hong Kong for three days. We will learn contemporary business and financial issues of China and visit a US firm in addition a city sightseeing.
